Sunset House Outdoor Bar and Restaurant

Hanging out at Sunset House is a Cayman Islands tradition. It doesnt have the best food so if you are going out on your first date – this wouldn’t be the place to go, especially if you are trying to impress. This place is the kind of bar/restaurant that you go to when you are chilling out and relaxing. There are two restaurants – one is outdoors and there is another restaurant indoors. Food is the same for both. I have not really been blown away by it but I do enjoy the fact that they serve food fast and its fairly inexpensive. The place is great for just chilling out – or have I mentioned that already. The waiters are all really “chillaxed” and all the times I have been here – not once have I complained about service except that one time when it was over crowded but hey… no-one and nothing is perfect. Its a nice place to drink a beer and watch the sunset with friends.

We ate dinner at Sunset House (outdoor part) last night – there was 6 of us right after a swim class. We order a variety of food from steaks to fish sandwiches. I don’t know if it was because we were hungry but oh my gosh – the food was absolutely fantabulous especially the fish sandwich – the Fresh Mahi-Mahi Sandwich. So – in the spirit of fairness I now proclaim Sunset House a really good place to eat dinner. The first review was based on eating there quite a few times over lunch and appetizers. This addendum was added after having dinner and all six of us were very happy with our meal. I also order a new york steak which cost CI$ 26 and it wasn’t all that but when I tried the fish sandwich – I just had to write this addendum. Sunset House was named appropriately

Sunset House is also a dive place. Sunset Divers is located here and they have deals on diving and stuff. Unfortunately I don’t dive so I wouldn’t be able to tell you more about them. Just give them a call at 345-949-7111 but don’t worry because when I start diving (hopefully) i will get to review them.

Cathy Church’s is also located on the same compound and I will be reviewing them in another article as I have purchased alot of my camera equipment from them.
