Snorkeling in Rum Point, Grand Cayman
So most people would probably make the mistake of saying that Rum Point is not a snorkeling destination. I would have to dissagree completely. Most people would probably say that Rum Point is a family destination with the beach and the shallow water stretching too far for any snorkeling to happen. They would be right to say that.

Rum Point: A family beach destination in East End
But, what most people don’t see are the coral reefs to the right of Rum Point. There is long dock that blocks this side of the water from most people and thats probably why not alot of folks will assume it is a snorkeling spot. But if you swim under the dock and keep swimming to the right, you will be amazed at the fish and coral reef in Rum Point. This part of Rum Point is actually a protected marine sanctuary so you will see lots of baby fishes swarming the waters. There are also so many conch shells littered on the waters of Rum Point.

So if you are looking for a great place to bring the family and go snorkeling at the same time, I would not hesitate to recommend Rum Point as a snorkeling destination. Just go to the right side facing the ocean.
