Snorkeling in Starfish Point, Grand Cayman

Star Fish Point is located further down Rum Point Beach. It is a place where you can find many starfishes. We had heard about this place and wanted to check it out for ourselves and as soon as we drove in, we saw people picking up the star fishes and getting photos taken with them.

We were dissappointed though because there were not alot of starfishes. There is more starfishes on this part of the island but not too many of them left. I guess the storms must’ve really done their damage here. Also aside from not seeing too many star fishes, there is no snorkeling to be done here. The surrounding waters are full of seaweeds and they are pretty dark and daunting. Most families who come here have their own boats and set up barbeques on the beach. If you had a jet ski or some other sort of water craft like a kayak then maybe this place would be great for it.
