Kayaking at Rum Point

I have lived in Grand Cayman for over five years and this is the first time that I have ever gone Kayaking in Rum Point for bioluminescence.  I wish I had done it sooner and more often.  We had insisted on going out during a full moon which, we were informed, would negate the bioluminescence but it didn’t matter we just wanted to kayak during the full moon – with or without the attraction.  Fiona, the girl who manages the Kitehouse shop, was very nice and accommodating.  During the full moon you can see the smoothness of the water, almost like silk – and all you can hear is the sound of your paddle hitting the surf.  We were very lucky because we still saw the amazing bioluminescence even with the full moon!
